Wordcraft, the Ramjas Literary Society, aspires to be a space where students can come together and tell stories. Our blog, social media pages, and our newsletters, Afsaane and Inha'az, are all attempts to cull out such a space, where we are able to create and share our work and learn from each other.
Submission Guidelines-
Submissions are open for all students of Ramjas College.
We recognize that art can never be apolitical and for it to claim to be so is a political statement in itself. We invite entries that are politically aware and are sensitive to the social and economic realities which shape our lives.
1. We draw a clear line between social critique and hate speech. Any entry which is derogatory towards an individual or a group on the basis of caste, class, race, region, religion, place of birth, gender, sexual orientation, age, nationality, personal preference, or disability will be rejected.
2. As a policy we follow zero acceptance of violence or any kind of intimidation, harassment, abuse, or bullying, verbal or physical, against any member of the society, including the faculty advisors. Therefore, an entry that expresses a credible threat of violence or harm towards an individual or a group will not be acceptable.
3. An entry of a propagandist nature, which acts as a mouthpiece for a particular party or political union, will not be accepted.
Entries will be accepted in the following forms:
(a) Writing, such as poetry, drama, short stories, and articles.
(b) Visual art, such as sketches, paintings, and photographs.
(c) Recitation and music recordings in the form of audio and video files.
4. Original creative works in all languages will be invited for publication.
An entry in a language other than Hindi and English will be required to be accompanied by either a translation of it or an introduction to it in Hindi or English.
5. Translations of published works will also be invited, with due credit given to the author and the translator.
6. The criteria for selecting a particular entry are originality of thought and creativity in using the medium, whether written words or a visual or oral medium.
7. A non-fiction article will be judged on its originality, clarity of thought, precise use of language, and the coherence of its argument and use of evidence to support it.
8. Those entries, especially non-fiction articles, which misrepresent facts will be asked to be revised. In case of gross misrepresentation, the entry will be rejected.
9. Any entry found to be plagiarised, either partially or wholly, will be immediately rejected.
In an article, references to sources can either be included in the text or cited in the form of endnotes. If sources are inadequately acknowledged the author will be asked to duly revise the article.

Your submission (written piece or artwork) should ideally be directly pasted in the body of the email. If your work requires special formatting, you may send it as an attachment, preferably in the form of a word document. For written pieces, PDF files and for creatives, JPEG/PNG files are also acceptable.

All submissions have to be accompanied by a short third-person bio of no more than 100 words, along with a headshot/photograph of the submitter as an attachment.

The category of your work - fiction, non-fiction, poetry - has to be mentioned in the subject of the submission email. Before you send work, please familiarize yourself with our editorial practices by going through the submission guidelines.

If your work has been featured on our website, please wait at least half a year, from the date of your publication before submitting again.

वर्डक्राफ्ट, रामजस महाविद्यालय की साहित्यिक समिति, एक ऐसी जगह बनाने का प्रयास कर रही है, जहाँ छात्रगण अपनी कहानियां साझा कर सकें। हमारे वेबसाइट, सोशल मीडिया पेज और हमारी पत्रिका 'अफ़साने' कुछ ऐसे ही प्रयास हैं जिनके द्वारा हम एक दूसरों की कृतियों से कुछ सीख पाएं।
ये पटल रामजस महाविद्यालय के सभी विद्यार्थियों के लिए उपलब्ध हैं।
प्रविष्टियों को निम्नलिखित रूपों में स्वीकार किया जाएगा:-
(क) लेखन, जैसे कविता, नाटक, लघु कथाएँ, और लेख।
(ख) दृश्य कला, जैसे कि रेखाचित्र, चित्र और तस्वीरें।
(ग) ऑडियो और वीडियो फ़ाइलों के रूप में पाठन और संगीत रिकॉर्डिंग।
हम यह स्वीकार करते हैं कि कला कभी भी गैर-राजनीतिक नहीं हो सकती और ऐसा होने का दावा करना अपने आप में एक राजनीतिक टिप्पणी है। हम उन प्रविष्टियों को आमंत्रित करते हैं जो राजनीतिक रूप से जागरूक हैं, और उन सभी सामाजिक एवं आर्थिक वास्तविकताओं के प्रति संवेदनशील हैं जो हमारे जीवन को आकार देती हैं।
1. हम सामाजिक आलोचना और हेट स्पीच के बीच एक स्पष्ट रेखा खींचते हैं। जाति, वर्ग, नस्ल, धर्म, जन्म स्थान, लिंग, यौन अभिविन्यास, आयु, या विकलांगता के आधार पर किसी व्यक्ति या समूह के प्रति कोई भी कैसी भी अपमानजनक प्रविष्टि अस्वीकार कर दी जाएगी।
2. हम समिति सलाहकारों (शिक्षकों) सहित समिति के किसी भी सदस्य के विरुद्ध हिंसा या किसी भी प्रकार की धमकी, उत्पीड़न, या दुर्व्यवहार (मौखिक या शारीरिक) के प्रति 'शून्य सहनशक्ति' की नीति का पालन करते हैं। इसलिए, ऐसी कोई भी प्रविष्टि जो प्रत्यक्ष या परोक्ष रूप से किसी व्यक्ति या समूह के प्रति हिंसा या नुकसान का खतरा व्यक्त करती है, स्वीकार्य नहीं की जाएगी।
3. एक प्रचारक प्रवृति की प्रविष्टि, जो किसी विशेष पार्टी या राजनीतिक संघ के लिए मुखपत्र का कार्य करती है, स्वीकार नहीं की जाएगी।
4. सभी भाषाओं में मूल रचनात्मक कार्य प्रकाशन हेतु आमंत्रित हैं।
हिंदी और अंग्रेजी के अलावा किसी अन्य भाषा की प्रविष्टि को उसके हिंदी/अंग्रेजी अनुवाद अथवा हिंदी/अंग्रेजी में एक भूमिका के साथ भेजने आवश्यक होगा।
5. लेखक और अनुवादक को दिए गए उचित श्रेय के साथ पहले से अन्य पटलों पर प्रकाशित कार्यों के अनुवाद भी आमंत्रित हैं।
6. लिखित, मौखिक अथवा दृश्यात्मक किसी भी माध्यम में किसी प्रविष्टि का चयन करने का मानदंड, उसके विचारों और रचनात्मकता की मौलिकता है।
7. किसी गैर-काल्पनिक लेख/रचना को उसकी मौलिकता, विचारों की स्पष्टता, भाषा के सटीक उपयोग व तर्कों और उसके समर्थन में दिए गए साक्ष्यों के उपयोग पर आँका जाएगा।
8. प्रविष्टियां, विशेष रूप से गैर-काल्पनिक लेख, जिनमें गलत तथ्यों का उपयोग किया गया है, उन्हें संशोधित करने के लिए कहा जाएगा। यदि वह बिल्कुल ही गलत है तो उस स्थिति में, प्रविष्टि को अस्वीकार कर दिया जाएगा।
9. किसी भी प्रविष्टि में आंशिक या पूर्ण रूप से साहित्यिक चोरी पाई जाने पर, उसे तुरंत अस्वीकार कर दिया जाएगा।
किसी लेख में, स्रोतों के संदर्भों को या तो लेख मे ही या अंतिम टिप्पणी के रूप में उद्धृत किया जा सकता है। यदि स्रोतों को अपर्याप्त पाया गया तो लेखक से लेख को विधिवत संशोधित करने के लिए कहा जाएगा।

आपकी प्रवृष्टि (लिखित या कला कृति) आदर्श रूप से अणुडाक के मुख्य भाग में सीधे लिख दिया जाना चाहिए। यदि आपके काम के लिए विशेष प्रारूपण की आवश्यकता है, तो आप इसे अनुलग्नक के रूप में भेज सकते हैं, अधिमानतः Word Document के रूप में। लिखित कृतियों के लिए, PDF फाइलें और कलाकृतियों के लिए, jpeg/png file भी स्वीकार्य हैं।

सभी प्रस्तुतियाँ के साथ प्रस्तुकर्ता का परिचय और छायाचित्र भेजा जाना अनिवार्य है। परिचय सौ से कम शब्दों का, तृतीय व्यक्ति के परिपेक्ष्य में लिखा गया, एक लेख होना चाहिए। परिचय व छाया चित्र को अणुडाक में प्रवृष्टि के साथ ही संलग्न करें।

आपकी रचना की श्रेणी - कथा, गैर-काल्पनिक लेख, कविता - को प्रस्तुत अणुडाक के विषय (subject of E-mail) में उल्लेख किया जाना है। रचना भेजने से पहले, कृपया प्रस्तुति दिशनिर्देशों को पढ़ कर अपने आप को हमारे संपादकीय नियमों से परिचित कराएं।
